Swacchatapukare’s innovative initiative focuses on transforming water hyacinth into valuable products, turning an environmental challenge into an opportunity for positive change. This waste-to-wealth project not only helps protect our ecosystems but also uplifts rural women by providing them with sustainable livelihoods.
Currently operational in West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Delhi, and various other locations, the project works closely with Self Help Group (SHG) members. These women have been trained to convert the invasive water hyacinth plant into eco-friendly products, fostering both environmental preservation and economic empowerment in their communities.
Through this initiative, we aim to inspire a sustainable future, one where rural women can thrive while contributing to the protection of our natural resources. By turning waste into wealth, we’re not only cleaning our surroundings but also building stronger, more resilient communities.
